The FAO Virtual Learning Centre of the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU) informs about an upcoming Virtual Learning Course on Zoonoses for field veterinarians in English from 08 April to 09 May 2025. This is a new course, recently developed by FAO REU in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The primary audience for the course is official and private practice veterinarians, who are directly involved in diagnosis, investigation and response to zoonotic diseases.
This is a four-week tutored online course with eight online interactive modules. The course is studied entirely online. During the course, two live webinars will be organised and expert trainers will be available through a discussion forum. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate after passing the final assessment.
Self-nomination form – should be completed by 28 March 2025.
Selected participants will receive invitations to their email addresses one week before the course opens with all the details about the upcoming course, including login credentials, ZOOM link for webinars, etc. Therefore, it is important that each nominee has an individual active email address, as all communication with participants will be done via email.
